Frequently asked questions
How accurate is an online eye test?
It's a rough screening. Screen brightness, lighting and exact distance all affect the result. Only an eye-care professional can measure your vision and check eye health.
What do 1.0, 5.0 and 20/20 mean?
They are the same normal-vision level in three notations: decimal (1.0), the 5-point logarithmic scale used in China (5.0) and Snellen (20/20).
Can this replace a doctor?
No. This tool gives general estimates and self-checks for information only. It does not diagnose anything. Please see a qualified health professional for medical advice, and seek urgent care if you feel unwell.
